How to Conquer a Bad Day!
We have all had them... tell me if this is familiar to you:
Wake up late, the kids overslept, you're exhausted. What has to take place in an impossible hour flashes before your eyes. You have to get ready, kids have to get ready, you have to drive to one end of town to drop off one child and to another end of town to drop off the other. No more Mr./Mrs. Nice Mom/Dad. In fact, it's like something from an unknown world overtakes you and you become the person you detest in others... leaving the rest of your family feeling like you don't care at all. Of course you care!
Along the way, children do warm our hears, show us love, and strengthen our spirits when we see them growing and benefiting from all that we do. Yet, when times get rough or just when we feel unappreciated, the right word can really give us the boost we need to keep going.
Be still! Stop all the rushing around. Psalm 46:10 says, Be still, and know that I am God... (KJV). The Creator of the universe wants a word with you, but how can He really talk to you if you're always frazzled? When you feel the frustration rise up within you (I promise that it will happen again)....Chill and listen!
